I write and produce original music, often inspired by philosophy, literature, and history, from Seneca’s essays to speculative fiction and music inspired by fencing texts.

Fencing
I do HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). This is fencing using blunt replica swords using techniques from historical manuals. I love the history, technical skill and the physical challenge.
Drawing
I enjoy drawing regularly.
I have a number of cartoon characters I like to draw, as well as more conventional sketches.
These are small quiet studies. It’s a way of paying attention.
Software and Projects
I’ve spent most of my career designing and building enterprise software systems, with a focus on data movement, integration, and reliability.
Recently, that’s included independent tools and experiments around data loading, automation, and practical uses of AI in real systems.
