“The Listener” is intended to invoke a sense of wonder and humanity about the future. It’s about an abandoned machine that through exposure to people becomes sentient.
Radio broadcasts from another world reveal beautiful music. A secret Jesuit mission is sent the planet of Raccat to discover the meaning, with tragic consequences. I wanted to create music the felt emotional yet soaring like church music. Based on the book “The Sparrow”.
