Last night I wrote a song based on the HG Wells short story of the above title.
It’s about Azuma-zi a worker on the generator used for the electric rail system in London. His drunken supervisor Holroyd abuses him. He starts to think of the machine as a kind of God and prays to it for salvation from Holroyd.
